From Columbia County Sheriff's Office:
* Rayon A. White, 26, of Hudson, was arrested at 5:10am January 16 and charged with Criminal contempt in the First Degree (Class E Felony), Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (All Class A Misdemeanors), and Harassment in the Second Degree (Violation) by Deputies Joseph Bruno and Jerald Rowell. White is accused of striking a female in the face and then he threatened the victim with a weapon at a private residence in Greenport. During this altercation, there was a child present in the home. White is also accused of violating an order of protection. He was arraigned in Greenport Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He will appear back in court at a later date.
